Fulton Steamboat Inn

It is well maintained unlike many of the hotels I've stayed at over the past 10 years. It's clean, quite, and smells nice. The kids beds were cheap. You could fell every spring but over all much better then all the hotels I've stayed at in the area. Also the snacks were not over priced like some places. Didn't like that the cups were not wrapped and next to the toilet.

We stayed at the Fulton New Year's Eve. We arrived early knowing our room may not be ready but were told when booking we could still use the pool. Front desk woman seemed personally insulted we were arriving 90 minutes early and explained the check in to me as if I was a child. I told her we have stayed here several times and I know how it works and if I don't have a problem with it I don't know why she does. Pool area and room were fantastic. Despite all the noise around midnight, once we shut the room door, it was quiet. Food was excellent and service in the morning was so good, I wish I had gotten the name of our waitress. She was an older woman with shorter gray hair-very friendly and provided awesome service. My only other complaint would be the bartender. In the afternoon, the female bartender provided an excellent sangria filled with fruit. The male bartender later in the evening chatted with the regulars while ignoring my husband for over 10 minutes. The sangria I finally received was a glass of ice with a little sangria splashed into it for $11. We will definitely be back due to the welcome we have gotten during our other stays and the comfort of the rooms and enjoyment of the pool area.

We’ve stayed at the steamboat several times and always enjoy the stay - however - we just stayed 2 nights Jan 4 & 5- after having a bit of the holiday blues - we were greeted at the steamboat with the most beautiful outdoor lighting from the parking lot and all around the pond! Wow! Not to mention the indoor Christmas trees were so beautiful as well - really gave a person a “lift”!! Hot chocolate with toppings and a tower of cookies - everything was amazing! Had to check out early due to the impending storm but everything was amazing! Can’t wait to return!

We've stayed here before and this was a terrible experience. We made the reservation directly and were put in a new room with bunk beds. Neither of us are children. When we arrived, I had researched to see that they had rooms available with 2 beds. The man that checked us in said we couldn't change rooms. I was later told that we could have changed, especially having booked through the hotel. The main king bed was sloping and old. The bunk beds were horribly uncomfortable and frankly, dangerous. It's barely possible to climb to the top bunk, as there's nothing to hold onto. The bottom bunk mattress was depressed and getting out of it, was not only difficult, but I had black and blues all over the backs of my legs and my feet for inadvertently kicking the ladder. The trundle mattress under the beds, stunk. The room was acoustically very live and loud. The restaurant is always very nice, as is the walk around the pond. The fitness room equipment was not clean, so I cleaned it and the second floor smelled strongly of marajuana. This used to be a classier place. Upon checkout, I told the woman at reception my complaints and she acted unconcerned. There are a ton of nicer, newer hotels that have sprung up in the area. We'll stay at one of those next visit.
